The Swimmers

Betty and Mavis Anne are  "The Swimmers"
The finish line is in sight as you root them on
as the pair show their toothy  grins.
This comic-like piece offers bright colors and a lot of personality.
Button jointed limbs adds to the whimsy.
This piece is mounted on lake-aged wood measuring 17x6inches
Betty is 12x5 inches and Mavis Anne is 8x4 inches.
This item is not primmed...it is an Art Doll.

Red .....White.... and Blue!

MISS LIBERTY ANNIE

This Annie has it all...that is.... all American!
You can almost her chant "U.S.A. U.S.A."
This doll is an extreme primitive in style.  She is prim perfect!
Annie measures  about 30 inches.
Made of osnaburg, french cotton toile and country prints of blue. Laced edged pantaloons draw your eye to her painted red striped stockings.  Bells adorn her shoes. The crown is made of gold painted artist canvas.
The torch is painted muslin attached to textile bobbin.
Annie's  U.S.A. sash is hand painted.  
 It is pinned with a Teddy Roosevelt political button.
Necklace is of rusted wire and star, with of course 1776.
Her eyes and mouth are hand embroidered.  Her nose is the traditional Annie  style of red wool.  An old red shade  of hair was used.  Her hair is mussed for effect.  She will not disappoint the Annie collector nor the Americana lover.
If you are looking for a doll that has the time forgotten look...  discovered in Grandma's attic.. this is the one for you!

DOEDA  ON HER TOADSTOOL

Doeda is a  an extreme primitive woodland fairy. 
She is made of painted muslin with touches of organza here and there. This  piece stands 20 inches.
 Wide eyed Doeda has an abundance of "hair".  Be sure to notice her pixie like ears. She is wearing the quintessential fairy shirt and cross-over top.  Her wings are firmly attached and tied with a small bow.
The toadstool is Doeda's permanent home..... firmly attached.   The  4 X4 inch base is covered this natural moss.  Cork  is attached to the bottom of the base.
Doeda will be a perfect accent   for your little princeses room.  A must have for an older princeses collection.
This piece was designed by Nanny Norton.

PIRATE COUPLE

Walker D. Plank and Wendy Deck-Walker have tied the knot!
This couple  is loaded with personality.....  from the patch over Walker's eye to his Lake Erie driftwood  pegleg to his pet parrot perched atop his flag pole.
Wendy, a pirate wench, has big, blue button eyes.
Her midrif top shows off her  heart tattoo located next to her "outie" navel.
Wendy has a hook for a left hand !
Both are heavliy primmed, measuring 19 inches head to toe.
The pair do NOT have hangers.  If you would  like them to hang let me know.
   What a perfect gift for those who live and love the sea!
A great addition to a childs room on a high shelf  away from little hands.
